2011 Sail Day a resounding success

The Rotary Sail Day has become a favourite corporate event for the Tasmanian boating and business community.  Celebrating it's 20th anniversary, Rotary Sail Day has raised more than $600,000 and is now one of Tasmania's largest and most sought after sailing and charity fundraising events.

Rotary Sail Day is hosted by the Rotary Club of Hobart, with generous support from the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania, whose members, together with members of the Derwent Sailing Squadron, Bellerive Yacht Club and the Motor Yacht Club of Tasmania, generously donate their yachts and crew for the day to make it all possible.

This year, part of the proceeds from Sail Day will be made available to Sailability, who support sailing activities for people who have a disability.  No sailing experience is required.
